Texas Rainwater Systems of Kerrville

“Meeting Barry Wall at a rainwater seminar in Medina, TX was a stroke of luck for us. With his expertise and inventiveness, Barry installed a system that captures over 2,500 gallons of rainwater from our cottage and detatched garage on a tiny lot in Kerrville.
No more city water for our lawn and flowers!”

Rainwater Systems, Inc. were the first folks I'd talked to about a potable rainwater system who did not give me an "all or nothing" response. I was unable to afford the ideally recommended system all at one time. They were willing to do work in phases as I was able to afford it. The rainwater system was integrated into an existing system that allows me to have multiple options: all rainwater, all original system, or a split with both systems operating simultaneously, each in different areas. I started with a single 3,000 gallon poly tank. Later I added another 3,000 gallon poly tank. Finally I was able to afford an "optimal" tank. They credited me for most of the original purchase price on the poly tanks when they installed my current metal tank with a liner. In addition, since the metal tank is located on a slope, they installed a very impressive retaining wall on the down slope side.
The water has a wonderful sweet taste. My only regret is that I did not do this years ago.

After doing much research on systems we chose Texas Rainwater Systems. Barry, and his crew (Shawn and Dana) were all accommodating, professional and very patient in answering all my questions. Although we knew the system would undergo the sanitation process we had the added comfort of Barry's medical background.
We live in a county that is under extreme drought conditions with wells going dry and not much hope of significant rainfall in the near future. Although we have not personally had our well run dry to date, with the exploding population growth in our area, having this system gives us peace of mind. People are amazed that we have caught 30,000 gallons of water in this extreme drought. After seeing how quickly our tank filled up our future plans include catchment from every out-building and more tanks.

Personal Experience with Rainwater Systems, Inc.
We built a new house on our property which we finished in early 2009. Water can be a problem where we live since there are no aquifers and no creeks, only shallow wells to tap ground water trapped in cracks in the granite subsurface. Since the well water tends to be heavy in minerals, we wanted a rain water collection system and came in contact with Texas Rainwater Systems through a friend.
The collection system for our house turned out to be more complex than we expected. There is about 7,600 sq. ft. of roof area, but the majority of the water runs to the back of the house and consequently required several long runs of large diameter PVC pipe. The Rainwater Systems, Inc. crew was one of the more efficient and professional crews we had involved in any aspect of the construction on our house. The piping, both underground and inside the pump house was well laid out and professionally done. The whole system was installed and ready for use in less than two days, which I considered amazing.
All was well until about a week after the job was finished. One of the subcontractor crews accidentally cut into the main 6 inch PVC collection line. The crew attempted to patch the line, but a day later when a shower came through, the patch did not hold and water accumulated over the cut in the line. After several further attempts to repair the cut in the line, it became obvious the entire line needed to be dug up and replaced. I contacted Rainwater Systems, Inc. and asked if they could help replacing the line once I had it dug up. They not only agreed, but had a crew on site the next day. There were two lateral line connections that had to be re-done, but the crew had the whole thing repaired and ready to cover back up in less than two hours.
I was extremely impressed with Rainwater Systems, Inc., handling of the whole job. For the repair work, they charged only the hourly rate for the crew, which, was quite small considering how quickly they finished the work. The fact that they acted so quickly, in spite of the fact that it is over one hour driving time each way from their place to mine, made a very positive impression on me. I would highly recommend Rainwater Systems, Inc. to anyone, without reservation.
