Las Vegas, Nevada, January 18, 2010: Rainwater Systems, Inc. of Kerrville, Texas, a company who designs, installs and maintains rainwater systems for drinking water, landscape and agriculture use, was recognized, along with the winning home builder, home owners and others, as the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) "Energy Value Housing Award 2010 GOLD WINNER" (EVHA). "The Mountain Home, Texas dwelling is completely "off-the-grid", said Barry Wall, President of Rainwater Systems, Inc.  In the NAHB's 15th year of awards, the home was selected from applications across the United States for its best practices in energy value, design, construction, marketing and customer relations, and participation in energy programs.  Each year the EVHA winners are unveiled at the EVHA Dinner Ceremony, held at the International Builders Show (IBS) - the world's largest annual construction tradeshow. This year, the home was also selected as the Cover Photo of the Annual NAHB's Research Center Awards Magazine.

The home exclusively uses only the rain it collects into its 20,259 gallon storage tank.  The home can collect approximately 1,228 gallons for every inch of rain falling onto the roof, for a total of approximately 36,840 gallons annually.
